Step one is to sign up as an affiliate

You’ll be taken to a new window to fill out a simple form. Next you’ll receive a welcome email with your Affiliate Link. Be aware that  if you subscribe to an anti-spam service, it may block this email.

You affiliate link will look similar to this below except the ‘XXXXXX’ will be replaced with your affiliate number:

Register for PayPal

We use PayPal to send your affiliate commissions so if you do not have an account there, you will need to sign up for one. It’s free and easy to do. Make sure to use the same email address for your PayPal account as you used when signing up as an affiliate or our cart will not be able to send you your payments.

PayPal is one of the best and most secure ways to make payments on the web. You can keep your earnings there to use to make other online purchases or you can transfer that balance into a checking account at your bank.

Earning Commissions

The commission you earn on sales varies by product.  You will find all products eligible to earn commission rates in your affiliate area. Currently we are promoting:

How Does It Work?

Your affiliate clicks are tracked using a cookie with your unique identity number. This cookie is given to someone who clicks on your link. Because the cookie is saved to that person’s computer, if they buy something from a different computer, there will be no cookie to recognize and no credit will be given. They don’t need to buy on their first visit to a page when they click on your affiliate link. Even if they return up to 90 days later to buy another time without using your link, you will get credit as long your cookie is still on their computer.

As an affiliate, you are not paid commissions  on products you buy yourself.

When Do I Get Paid?

Commission payments are locked until the guarantee term on a product has expired and it is no longer eligible for a refund request by the purchaser.  When your affiliate commission reaches $50, you are paid through PayPal. Commission payments are made once a month and go out around the 30th of every month. You will be notified by email when we send you a payment.

Getting Your Affiliate Link

In your affiliate area you will find various materials to help successfully build your affiliate promotion. There are banner images in different sizes and text links. Each creative elelment has its own unique identity embedded into the link. This way you can track what type of affiliate banner or link is working best in your promotions.

If you cannot remember your login, there is a password retrieval utility.

Once inside click on ‘get links’  to access your affiliate links and banners. We also have sample emails for you to send out to you lists. We recommend you customize these to suit your style but you are welcome to use them as if you wish.

Every affiliate has his or her own ‘default’ generic link that can be used for any product. However, we recommend using the unique ones associated with each creative as they provide you with more complete reporting such as clicks in addition to sales.

Shortening Your Affiliate Link

If you shorten your affiliate link, you’ll get better results. They are less likely to break in an email and don’t look so much like an affiliate link.

There are several sites that you can use to do this. A couple we like are http://tinyurl.com/ and  https://bitly.com/. They are easy to use and have good instructions there.

After you have created your short URL, be sure to test to make sure it goes to the correct page before you use it in your promotion.
